    • 11 March 2017: A very interesting finding:
New South Wales Death Certificate for Mary McBride, died 18 November 1858, Jilks Building, Kent Street, Sydney. Informant was her daughter, Ann Tyrrell of the same address. Mary is listed as a widow, female, 58 yrs old. Died of English Cholera. Parents listed as Walter Thompson and Margaret Green. She was buried 20 November 1858 in Catholic Cemetery. States she was born in County Fermanagh, Ireland, 3 years in New South Wales. Also states she was married at age 28 in County Donegal to Patrick McBride, deceased 15 (?) years. Living Children of marriage listed are: Margaret, age 28, Ann, age 24, and Rosa age 22. It "fit" quite well, except who are these children: Margaret, age 28, and Rosa, age 22 are not listed on any census with the family. There is an Ann or Nancy McBride listed in the census so this one fits. But this could all be quite coincidental!

12 Jan 2018: I do not believe this is the same family. There is a not-very-well-documented tree on Ancestry stating that Ann 14 yrs and sister Margaret 17 yrs arrived on the "Inchinnan" as Irish Famine orphans, and that their father Patrick died 1848 in Omagh, Ireland. If that is indeed the case, they cannot be the same family noted in the 1851 census.
